A3899/S2200: Creates pilot program to provide corporation business tax and gross income tax credits for value of certain fruit and vegetable donations made by commercial farm operators. NJFDC supports this bill as amended. It joined NJ Farm Bureau and NOFA-NJ in doing so. It would create a pilot program for farms to get up tax break of up to $5000 per farm for donated items (produce/specialty crop). The total for the program is capped at $100,000. The pilot would start at 50% of the value of the donated product.
